We wish to single out a few in particular for their significant contributions to our work.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"wp-block-stereo-section-bloc section-block-normal -section-alt\"><div class=\"wp-block-stereo-section__container\"><div class=\"wp-block-stereo-section__col is-layout-flow wp-block-stereo-section-bloc-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>CIHR is a major funding agency for researchers. Each year, many of them receive grants or awards to further their research programs. In 2024-2025, CIHR grants awarded to our researchers totaled nearly $5.3 million, or 48% of the total awarded to granting agencies recognized by the Fonds de recherche du Qu\u00e9bec &#8211; Sant\u00e9 (FRQS).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"wp-block-stereo-section-bloc section-block-normal\"><div class=\"wp-block-stereo-section__container\"><div class=\"wp-block-stereo-section__col is-layout-flow wp-block-stereo-section-bloc-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fondation IUCPQ<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to the generosity of its donors, the IUCPQ Foundation awarded $2,186,017 in 2024 to support numerous research projects and give researchers the leverage they need to obtain external funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of this amount, $1,080,000 was awarded to 44 researchers as part of the annual research competition to advance research in the fight against cardiovascular, pulmonary and metabolic diseases.
